Buck Mountain Sandstone

These near-vertical beds of Cambrian Flathead sandstone are located on the flank of the Buck Mountain fault on the east side of the Teton Range. The once horizontal beds were deformed when the high peaks of the Tetons were uplifted around sixty-five million years ago.
